Indie Pen Press LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates indiepenpress.store (“the Store”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit or purchase from the Store, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

What We Collect

When you place an order:

  • Name, email, billing address, shipping address, phone (optional)
  • Order contents and history
  • Payment information is processed directly by Stripe — we never see your full card number

When you create an account:

  • Email address and password
  • Saved addresses and preferences

When you subscribe to our newsletter:

  • Email address (managed by MailerLite)

Automatically when you visit:

  • IP address, browser type, device, operating system
  • Pages viewed, time on site, referring URL
  • Cookies (see “Cookies” below)

How We Use Your Information

  • Process and ship orders
  • Send order confirmations and shipping notifications
  • Deliver digital purchases (eBooks, audiobooks)
  • Provide customer support
  • Send marketing emails (only with your explicit consent — opt out anytime)

Who We Share With

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Store. Each is bound by contract to use your information only for the service they provide:

  • Stripe — processes payments
  • BookFunnel — delivers digital purchases
  • MailerLite — sends marketing email (if subscribed)
  • Cloudflare — protects against fraud and speeds up the Store
  • Google Analytics — anonymized site traffic analytics
  • FunnelKit — manages checkout and order flow

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for third-party marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember cart contents, deliver analytics, and detect fraud. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some Store features (cart, checkout) require them.

Data Retention

We retain order information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns, comply with tax law (typically 7 years for financial records), and resolve disputes. Marketing emails are retained until you unsubscribe.

If you reside in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR including data portability, the right to be forgotten, and the right to object to processing. We rely on your explicit consent for marketing and on the contract necessity legal basis for processing orders.

Children

The Store is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, payment processing via PCI-compliant Stripe, and security plugins to protect your data. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we follow industry best practices.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers.
